elligence is a web-enabled, client server application - in layman's terms, using the Internet, you can connect to your server from anywhere. elligence can be hosted by you on your servers or by DSI, on our servers.
Operators are assigned roles which can then be used to limit access. Permissions also allow operator access to be limited. Actions throughout the program are tracked - and the system records every action that affects an account balance. Audit reports can be printed by the system administrator, in case any events need to be examined closely.
Most elligence reports may be exported to Microsoft Excel. elligence automatically removes page and column headings from the "standard" report when exporting to Excel. Once in Excel, a few keystrokes enable you to leverage the power of Excel to produce beautiful charts such as that shown below.
elligence is fully integrated with Microsoft Word. Patient data can be merged automatically into Word documents for appointment reminders, recalls, collection letters, and patient documents. These Word documents may be letters, envelopes, labels or postcards.
elligence can export period close financial figures to external programs such as Intuit's QuickBooks. These totals are a balanced set of Journal Entries that are importable into the Balance Sheet and Income Statement.
elligence is integrated with JulySoft's ReminderPro program. Save time and money by allowing elligence+ReminderProautomatically call patients to remind them of their appointments and recalls. With ReminderPro, once it is configured, calls occur automatically and can even be language-specific for each patient!
elligence integrates with a number of popular Electronic Medical Record and Radiology Information Systems (RIS). This integration is accomplished using either HL7 or flat file messaging. Using HL7, elligence can send and receive demographic messages as well as send scheduling messages and receive charge messages.
The Patient Toolbar increases your efficiency by providing one click access to all patient data and commands.
The patient folder contains all key information about the patient filed into categories and sections. Categories include balances, demographics, insurance coverages, etc. Sections include Documents and Communications. More than one patient folder may be opened at a time, and the same patient folder can be opened by more than one operator. Below, terminated insurance coverages, appear in red.
The Ledger displays the patient's financial status in summary or detail. Charges, ledger notes, billings, payments and adjustments are all shown. One click access is available to display prior statements and insurance forms as well as electronically generated EOBs. The status of each charge is shown as well as the responsible party for each outstanding balance.
The Collections Manager automatically creates and assigns collection cases based upon your criteria. Operators may then manage and perform all actions from one screen.
File documents to patients, referring doctors, insurance plans, employers and providers; Create your own document types; Limit who has access to documents by Type; Scan insurance cards and drivers licenses; Click to view the document. elligence automatically stores statements, insurance forms, general patient documents and electronically generated EOBs.
Organizing your communications couldn't be easier. Create a message using Microsoft Word-style editing features; File the communication automatically to a patient, provider, insurance plan or employer. Limit who may view communications by type.
Communications may be filed to one or more elligence entities such as patients, employers, insurance plans, providers and referring doctors. Once filed, they appear grouped by Communication Type in the Communications section of the patient folder. Types of communications may be viewed only by specified operators.
elligence streamlines patient Check In. From the scheduler you may Check In the patient; view previously checked in patients (bold); and view where in the office all checked in patients are currently located. For example: WR = Waiting Room. Save and Process allows Check In to continue into the process screen (next)...
When checking in a patient you may choose to "process" the patient - this means that you can perform any of your typical check in steps from one screen. This includes reviewing the patient's demographics, insurance coverages, scanning insurance cards or drivers license, collecting a copay, printing a receipt, etc.
The Daily Routine consists of the provider's typical schedule. This may include time that can be opened if needed for an appointment and time that is locked (shown in bold). You can pre-allocate time for specific purposes, e.g. New Patients, Annual Exams, etc. and denote locations as well.
Overrides are exceptions to the Daily Routine. For example: A provider has lunch at 1:00pm except for the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month when there is a meeting at 1:00pm. Exceptions may occur weekly or monthly and can accommodate a provider's on and off periods, meetings, vacations, etc.
The Master Schedule displays the Daily Routine with all Overrides. This is the "template" for all days being scheduled for the provider. The Master Schedule below includes a Meeting at Mercy Hospital that occurs on the last Friday of each month.
The Daily Schedule displays one or more providers or resources (rooms, equipment) side by side. The columns of the Daily View are user-definable as is the content of what is displayed, e.g. you might display the procedure for which the patient is being seen.
The Weekly View displays an entire week at a time. You may quickly switch between Weekly and Daily Views or view one week after another. All scheduling commands such as Check In, Schedule, display patient appointments, ledger, etc., are available from any view - daily, weekly or monthly.
The Monthly View displays the entire monthly schedule for a provider or resource. All appointments and blocked-out time slots are color coded, and all available time slots are seen in white. You may easily switch between Monthly, Weekly and Daily Views. All scheduling commands are available from the Monthly View.
The Search command allows you to search for an available time slot or for pre-allocated appointment types, e.g. New Patients, Well Baby Checks, Annual Exams, etc. You may provide specific patient preferences such as Tuesday mornings between 8 and 10am. All openings that meet our requirements will be shown; we can then either book the appointment, or choose More if we want to see additional openings. If the opening is not found you may add the patient's request to a Wait List.
The Wait List contains requests from patients who are waiting either for an opening or a pre-allocated time slot to become available. Should the request become available, one or more operators may automatically be alerted via a Message. They may then schedule the patient, thus fulfilling the request and removing it from the Wait List.
In addition, un-fulfilled requests can be manually removed from the Wait List or automatically removed by elligence when they have passed their expiration date.
Electronic Superbills increase efficiency by allowing providers to choose procedures and diagnoses, and, when done, send to billing for review - all without printing and double-entry! If needed, billers can send corrections back to the provider with a comment.
Performing electronic claims in elligence is accurate, detailed and efficient. Accuracy is ensured by the Exceptions Reportthat details any omissions or errors. These may quickly be corrected by clicking on hyperlinks to the missing or incorrect data.
elligence can submit electronic claims to all Medicare and Medicaid Payers as well as most major commercial payers. Professional as well as Institutional claims may be submitted. Claim files are generated for all payers at one time and are shown in a comprehensive report, shown below:
elligence includes a unique EDI Manager that simplifies sending claim files and receiving reports and remittance files. One click sends and receives all files from all of your electronic destinations!
Even when remittance files are processed electronically, elligence generates an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) that is virtually identical to the paper EOB. Billed, allowed, deductibles, coinsurance, payment amounts and reason codes - all neatly displayed and at your fingertips!
The elligence electronic remittance wizard includes an Exceptions Report to highlight denials as well as discrepanciesbetween your allowed amounts and those that were applied in arriving at your payment. These safeguards ensure that you are paid according to your contracted amounts!
After reviewing the EOB and the Exceptions Report, your last step is to review the payments, adjustments and reason codes - all shown on the Post Insurance Payment screen as if you had manually entered the data. The only difference - you just saved hours! Time much better spent on collections and patient interactions!
The next responsible party for each outstanding balance is automatically set. You still have an opportunity to make changes. When ready, click post - you're done!
elligence allows printing of both paper statements as well as electronic statements. Your statements are printed, stuffed and mailed for you! The final product is a beautiful full color statement with a return envelope. Address correction ensures that you will receive corrected addresses for your patients. Statements can automatically be omitted if past attempts at billing them have failed.
The bottom line: You save time and money and create a better result!
elligence provides a complete assortment of practical, money saving reports! All reports include criteria to allow customization; filters to allow information to be limited based on your selections; grouping and sorting options andoutput to printers, files and in most cases, Microsoft Excel.
The elligence Custom Report module allows you to generate reports that fill the gap! These reports use a standard query language - Transact-SQL - familiar to many programmers. elligence Custom Reports allow you to:
elligence allows you to customize and design your own insurance forms, statements, superbills, and other patient documents. Drag and drop fields to where you would like them to appear!
elligence comes with a number of pre-defined documents, including the CMS 1500, UB-04, and a gallery of superbills and patient statements. You can work with the templates we've provided or you can design your own.
