SAMSA's Cabling Project at Isabella County Medical Care Facility

SAMSA of Saginaw, Michigan is currently finishing up a yearlong cabling project for Isabella Medical Care Facility, a long term care facility located in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. The facility project involved a three-story addition and three-floor renovation. The three-phase project is coming to a completion after a one and a half year course. Phase one of the project consisted of the new additions and related cabling work required for occupancy set up. Remodeling of existing rooms on the second and third stories was completed during phase two. Presently in its final phase, administration offices on the first floor are being remodeled. SAMSA provided all cabling work for phone, data, and cable television drops in resident rooms that consists of 71,000 feet of network and phone cable, 6,000 feet of television cable, and 1,000 feet of fiber cable. All together, SAMSA created 525 network/phone locations throughout the facility.

SAMSA of Saginaw, Michigan has been appointed the Michigan Value Added Reseller (VAR) for the elligence Medical Practice Management Software System. elligence is a scalable, secure, and compliant healthcare management system designed for practices, clinics, and billing service providers of virtually any size. elligence helps healthcare providers comply strictly with all relevant HIPAA standards and allows them to automate Patient Management, Appointment Scheduling, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) with insurers. elligence provides integration with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) vendors, and other healthcare information management systems, via HL7 standards.

SAMSA offers elligence to their clients either as a traditional in-house system (Turnkey Mode) where users purchase and manage the complete system at their facility or in Application Service Provider mode where systems are located at SAMSA facilities and accessed via the Internet. SAMSA provides server management and backend processing support for ASP clients.

SAMSA recently installed elligence at Family Medicine Associates of Midland, Michigan as a turnkey client and Valley Allergy Clinic PC of Saginaw, Michigan as an ASP client. Currently in the process of implementation is Midland Family Physicians. SAMSA also offers on site training and support services for elligence.
