SAMSA's experience gives strength in working with diverse computer systems. This makes it possible for us to integrate or more simply tie-together small systems to create a larger homogeneous system.
Many technology companies are familiar with some of the components of such a homogeneous system. For example, MS Windows-based databases, Internet, telecommunication protocols, and the so called “legacy” of systems are covered by SAMSA’s expertise.
Our expertise covers the entire range! Here are a few examples:
The Client: Saginaw Public Libraries
The Problem: Allow library staff to maintain a secure database of community services. Then, present to the public the SaginawCommunityConnection database via the internet.
The Solution: SAMSA’s Windows-based development team used Microsoft Access XP. Our team created a secure database application - deployed across the network at Library facilities. The information is “auto-magically” uploaded to SAMSA’s webservers each night. Then, SAMSA’s web development team created a dynamic website utilizing Verity search technology. This allows the public to view and search the SaginawCommunityConnection, at any time

The Client: Advanced Diagnostic Imaging, PC
The Problem: Provide a communications medium for a large medical practice that operates from several remote facilities in different communities. Physician schedules change minute-by-minute. Hospitals need to be assured that qualified physicians are available for all shifts. Physicians need to communicate with one another in a secured fashion, during any part of the day, from anywhere.
The Solution: SAMSA’s Windows-based development team used Microsoft Access 2000 and Microsoft Net technology. Working with our client, we created a secure database application, deployed across the network from the main administrative facility.
Updated information is “auto-magically” uploaded to SAMSA’s webservers whenever data changes. Then SAMSA’s web development team created a website with both public access areas and private access areas. This allows the physician group to communicate sensitive information safely, utilizing a SAMSA on-line discussion forum. Physicians can communicate work schedule changes at the website. Messages go back to their system at the administrative offices.

The Client: Andersen Eye Associates
The Problem: Provide a MS Windows-based database application to manage optical orders and inventory. Interface with enterprise medical billing system - in addition to an automated interface to the optical lab.
The Solution: SAMSA’s Windows-based development team used Microsoft.Net and SQL Server technology. Together, we created a secure database application - deployed across the network at the main administrative facility. The IBM AS/400 development team used advanced TCP/IP “sockets” technology providing lightning speed access between the local database and the remote AS/400 system.
