After months of planning and construction, SAMSA is proud to announce that we’ve officially opened the doors at the SAMSA Tech Shop in Midland. Our first day of operation in Midland was Monday August 20.Front Desk

We are still very much in a “Pardon our dust” mode of operation, organizing products and generally getting settled. For the remainder of August the Midland SAMSA Tech Shop is open Monday – Friday during the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. After Labor Day we will extend the store hours to 8:00 pm during the week, and we’ll also be open on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Our complete marketing and messaging campaign will commence after Labor Day.

SAMSA Tech ShopWe are expanding our product and service offerings to address needs and concerns of residential computer users, and we are focusing on additional network based services that we hope both businesses and residential customers will find valuable. We anticipate that much of our service time will be spent with customers addressing computer virus and performance upgrade issues, as well as assisting with mobile devices such as tablet computers and smart phones.

We are in the process of expanding our Computer Maintenance plan to include an option for questions and answers pertaining to the use of the computer and installed programs, instead of purely repair-oriented help.

Midland LocationAlso, we are in the process of creating a computer trade-in program to make it easier for our customers to take advantage of current technology offerings. We are offering low-cost refurbished computers so consumers who are on a limited budget can still have access to technology.

We have received very positive feedback about the SAMSA Tech Shop from customers and others, and we’re looking forward to being 100% ready to meet customer needs. For more information, please call us at 800-809-3254, or send email to tech@samsa.com. Be on the lookout for more news!

SAMSA was introduced to the M. Curry Corporation through our partnership with Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center-NE, a part of Saginaw Valley State University. We met with the company’s National Sales Manager, Mark Porath and provided an analysis of their website, www.mcurrycorp.com, which outlined our recommendations for search engine optimization and internet marketing.  SAMSA’s proposal for website overhaul and a linking campaign was accepted – the new website went live in April 2012.

Early results of the new website and linking campaign are very promising – visitor count has increased by approximately 400%, and visitor dwell time increased by nearly 2 minutes.  SAMSA looks forward helping M. Curry grow their business for many years to come.

“We were looking to put a fresh new look to our website. Working with SAMSA we did just that. It was an enjoyable experience and I am looking forward to continuing a work in progress relationship with them.”

M. Curry Corporation

“The MMTC-NE regional office at SVSU views SAMSA as a key strategic partner in our mission to help small- to medium-sized manufacturers be globally competitive.  Similar to great clients like M. Curry, we have found that many of our regions manufacturer’s don’t have the in-house capability to design, optimize and communicate their knowledge and expertise via the web.  We believe that through the MMTC-Northeast and SAMSA partnership, we can help these manufacturer’s enhance their visibility and image on the Internet to bring greater exposure to our regional manufacturers.”

Communication is key to successful Customer service, and ALL questions and concerns from our clients are important to us. To help expedite and to manage our clients’ service requests SAMSA created the role of Customer Service “First Responder”, and appointed ten-year SAMSA veteran Ellen Mockridge to that role.

As First Responder Ellen makes sure that our clients’ requests are acknowledged in a timely manner, and that they’re assigned to the first available and correct technician. SAMSA’s goal is that all requests for service are acknowledged within 1 hour of receipt.

Ellen also coordinates service with SAMSA’s web and tech departments, and with our office manager to ensure that issues are continually being “worked”, avoiding the potential for “falling between the cracks”. Ellen tracks each issue through to completion, providing continuity throughout the life cycle of each issue.

Ellen states “I feel Michael LeBoeuf, author of How to Win Customers and Keep Them for Life said it best. He states, ‘Every company’s greatest assets are its customers, because without customers there is no company.’”. Ellen monitors the tech@samsa.com and webmaint@samsa.com email lists to help her stay “in the loop”. You may always contact Ellen directly at emockridge@samsa.com.
